Communication Manager at Timisoara 2021
(July 2019 – February 2020)
Timisoara 2021 is the association in charge with the program of the European Capital of Culture in Timisoara, one of the three European cities holding this title in 2021.
For 8 months, I provided communication oversight and hands-on communication for 80 projects, 400 events, which generated 10,000 articles and broadcasts in the Romanian and international media.
External Affairs at World Bank Romania and Hungary
(February 2010 – November 2015)
At this development agency I designed and implemented the communication strategy for Romania, the largest portfolio of projects in Europe and Central Asia region at the time. The work primarily involved making knowledge of macroeconomy, infrastructure, social assistance, education, health, Roma emancipation more accessible, from ”bank speak” to plain English.
Information Officer at IOM Romania
(November 2000 – October 2008)
My longest tenure to date was a mix of project management and public information campaigns on counter-trafficking, irregular migration and migrant rights for the UN Migration Agency.
